New Jersey Turfgrass Foundation

In support of turfgrass research and education at Rutgers' Cook College.

Photo: Dogwood tree.The New Jersey Turfgrass Foundation was established in 1991 to further promote, foster, finance and perform charitable, scientific, literary and educational work in the turfgrass industry in New Jersey. Specifically, it is charged with generating and managing funds to

  • Award Turfgrass Research Grants
  • Award Scholarships to Students in Turfgrass Disciplines
  • Donate Equipment and Supplies to Turf Programs, and Contribute to the Improvement of Turfgrass Facilities at Rutgers

The Foundation presents the Annual Rutgers Turfgrass Research Golf Classic.
Held annually in May, the Rutgers Turfgrass Research Golf Classic has generated approximately $930,000 for turfgrass research since its inception in 1996.
